Canal Club, Richmond, VA.
I have been following along with this tour since the announcement was made, unfortunately it sold out before I was able to get a ticket. Luckily, The Canal Club (Richmond, Virginia) has a waitlist and I quickly requested two tickets. The morning of the show I received an email with my tickets. I arrived at The Canal Club around 5:30 and the line was wrapped all the way around the building. The doors opened around 6:00 and the venue was completely packed. I found a spot as close to the stage as I could get, as there is no photo pit, and that is where I stayed for the remainder of the night.
Brand of Sacrifice
set list.
Set List from Setlist.fm
Brand of Sacrifice has been on my radar for a while. Kyle Anderson’s vocals are absolutely insane and the music is heavy as hell, which is one reason I was excited for this tour. They did not disappoint. BOS hit the stage hard and did not let up. The energy they brought to the stage was incredible. The only downside of their show for me was almost all of the lighting was red, while it was a really cool looking show its not as fun while editing photos, but I cant hold that against them. They wrapped up their set with the song Lifeblood and and told everyone that they would be in the back to meet everyone and take pictures.

ERRA
set list.
Set List from Setlist.fm
Erra is a band I have been following for a while. Their stage presence was amazing, the music was a definite change of pace, while still heavy they brought a more melodic sound. The crowd was loving Erra and by 15 minutes into the set the crowd surfing started. Erra’s lighting was great and I was able to get some of my favorite shots of the night.

We Came as Romans
set list.
Set List from Setlist.fm
I have been a fan of We Came as Romans since around 2008, needless to say i was ecstatic over the opportunity to see them live. The energy in the room was intense. WCAR took the stage and opened with Daggers, a song off of their new album, which is one of my new favorites. The entire crowd was jumping so much that the floor felt like it might fall through. The entire band was on point that night. The vocals sounded great and the instrumentals were perfect. Nearing the end of the show there was a tribute to Kyle Pavone, the original vocalist for WCAR. The song One more day left many emotions in the room but they quickly picked up the pace again. WCAR finished up their set with Darkbloom and left the stage. Immediately the crowd was chanting “one more song”. WCAR came back to the stage, this time with Kyle Anderson of Brand of Sacrifice, and delivered the heaviest version of their song Darkbloom followed by Blackhole.

I found this show to be very well put together, the venue handled the sold out crown very well and the bands absolutely killed it. If you have a chance to see any of these bands definitely do not pass it up.
