full recap.
Krooked Kings caught the eye of many when their TikTok account started gaining traction. Within less than a year, I’ve seen these guys a few times in Colorado playing venues as small as Larimer Lounge. I was surprised (but not entirely) to learn that almost six months after their Larimer Lounge show, they’d be back in Colorado beginning a full US tour, booking much larger venues.
The tour started in Salt Lake City followed by three Colorado dates in Fort Collins, Boulder, and Denver. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it to the Fort Collins night (despite having a ticket), I was able to catch them in Boulder at Fox Theater.
Kicking off the night was a Fort Collins based band, Neighborhood Watch, with a quick twenty-minute set. Next up was the Los Angeles based band, Pity Party Girls Club. Their set consisted of singing happy birthday to their drummer (a sweet moment that included a cake), X, and several pauses for PBR chugging while the crowd chanted “chug, chug, chug…”
At roughly 9:40pm Krooked Kings started their set, playing just about (if not) all of their songs. Their stage setup was an upgrade from the Colorado shows earlier this year: Krooked Kings backdrop, masks (used in their first music video) lit up on stage, and way more energy than I had seen before.
You can catch Krooked Kings on tour in the US as well as Europe this fall.
