pre-show lineup. 2/5
Going into this show, my friend wanted to be as close to the front so we took advantage of the “Quick Pass” offer from Mission Ballroom. Lesson learned: do not buy it. While Quick Pass ($20 per pass) gets you into a shorter line, all doors are opened at the same time. If you have the time to line up early for shows and can get in the front of the queue for GA, don’t get Quick. We watched at least 40 people that didn’t get Quick Pass get in before us because Quick Pass was filed into two doors while the rest of the GA was split amongst like 6+ doors.
Not all venues in Denver do this; Summit Music Hall does file in all Fast Pass before letting in the rest of GA. Buying Fast Pass at Summit is worth it, Mission is worth it if you want to get ahead of most of the line or plan to come later/after doors open (sometimes the GA lines get really long and you can skip this with Quick Pass); it’s NOT worth it if you hope to get in before those in the front of either GA or Quick Pass and have time to line up early. You have JUST as much of a chance of getting to the front/barricade by being in the front of the GA line as you do in front of Quick Pass.
crowd. 4/5
The crowd was really nice, some of us were able to leave and come back to our spots to use the restroom or get water. At some point we did have a very intoxicated woman push through all of us (aggressively) and then couldn’t stand. Eventually security got her out but it took a little while.

venue. 3.5/5
I’m always so torn with this venue. There are things I love about it and things I don’t. I feel I’ve had both good and bad luck here. Disappointed with how they handle Quick Pass though; there’s no point in charging people $20 per pass (that they don’t even check) if those that paid aren’t prioritized. It is a pointless cash grab for this venue. I’ve since gone onto Google to check reviews and find this happens at every show, not just this night.
band’s energy. 4/5
Energy was great but it was such a short set! Em Beihold came on at 8pm (and for about 5-10 minutes of her set she had the crowd tell jokes while her in-ears were being adjusted). Lewis Capaldi came on at 9pm and was off the stage before 10:10pm. I believe we made it back to my apartment by 10:40pm.
